It is not hard to discern and discuss what does not seem right. Especially if you are a student of the Word of God and sensitive to the Spirit of God. But the challenge is discerning the solution. More often than not, our message is entirely about how you are wrong and I am right. We make these judgements more often than not based on our experience and intellectual evaluation.
If I feel it I will run with it.
I cannot base truth on how it makes me feel. Many times we feel we are hindered by Satan when all the time all Satan has to do is step out of the way and let us just run down the path to destruction led only by expectation and what I see or feel. Consider what the Apostle said:
1 Corinthians 2:14 — But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The simplicity of the solution is never comprehended by the natural man and therefore foolish. We look for some kind of special revelation from God that is the secret to life. Only to use selected pieces of the Word of God to support the latest “Direct Revelation of truth”
Paul warns us against this:
Colossians 2:18 — Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
In Jesus’ final prayer for the disciples he said:
John 17:17 — Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
And teaching them:
John 14:26 — But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Notice Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will bring things to our remembrance.
And this (again):
John 16:13 — Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Read the Word of God. Implant it in your spirit. God through the Holy Spirit will bring these Words back to your remembrance and teach you.
This is true revelation. It is the Holy Spirit uncovering the Word of God to your spirit. Not defining your experience by the Word of God.
Solution, believe in Jesus, confess that He is Resurrected, read His Word. Don’t try to figure it out. Let the Holy Spirit do His job.
